Game Preview Round 8: Axemen vs Thirteens
The Firehouse Subs Jacksonville Axemen will end the regular season of the USARL competition with a second match-up against the Boston 13s’. With the Axemen already defeating the 13’s in Round 3, there is no doubt that Boston is looking for payback on their home turf. The Axemen, however, have been steadily improving every week, and are looking forward to a strong game to sharpen their skills before they head into the playoffs. “We’ve been in great form the last two weeks,” says Brent Shorten, Captain and Coach of the Axemen. “It’s the last regular season game so we’ll be looking to get everything right going into the playoffs. Boston is fighting for a playoff spot so we expect them to throw everything they have at us. They are a capable team and I know Robin Peers and Dustin Cooper will have them fired up and ready to play.
