Axemen Prepare For South Florida

The 121 Financial Jacksonville Axemen will travel to South Florida this weekend to take on the Copperheads RLFC at their home field at Lehigh High School. With the Copperheads the newest team in the USARL, the Axemen easily defeated them in the home opener at UNF. This doesn’t mean the Axemen are relaxing for the final road trip of the regular season, however. The Copperheads held much closer scores with their opponents in their previous home games this season, so it is obvious the home crowd gives the Copperheads an added benefit.

“We are really looking forward to getting down there.” Says Coach Sean Rutgerson. “There are still improvements for the Axemen to make and we are preparing to work on them this weekend. We expect a good game at their home field and we are ready to put in the work to bring home a win.”

Kick off is 6:30pm at Lehigh High School. Live-stream availability TBA, but as always the score will be updated on on twitter @jaxaxemen. The Axemen return home on July 28th against the reigning National Champions, the Atlanta Rhinos.
