Axemen named top 10 hottest men in Jacksonville
“When I first got the request asking if we were OK with having an Axemen player featured as one of the 10 hottest men in Jacksonville, I honestly thought it was one of the players trying to pull a prank”, said Spinner Howland. “I not saying some of our guys are not good looking I guess, but for them to consider the Axemen as a significant enough sports team to ask us is very flattering. Once I realized it was a legit request I have to admit that in a way I feel like maybe this could be a really big year for our little Rugby League team.”
Brent Shorten has spent three seasons with the Axemen and pretty much won every award the team and the National League has to offer. He was also a member of the 2010 National Championship team and is by far one of the most popular guys among the players as well. Brent is originally from Helensburg just South of Sydney but has contributed in a large way to the Axemen success on and off the field during his time in Jacksonville.
“Shorto does plenty for the team on the field with relative ease” said Drew Slover, “but it is his continued efforts off the field that are more important. He is always at community events, doing PR and Media stuff and is always the first guy to volunteer for all our promotional activities.”
