Axemen Head Coach to Co-Star in Short Film produced in Jacksonville.
Axemen Head Coach, Spinner Howland, will make his big screen debut this coming Wednesday when the short film, “Kar Karma” is premiered at the Five Points Theater in Jacksonville. The movie was written by Jacksonville Screenwriter, Sharon Y. Cobb, and produced by Marc Boese. The film will be the feature presentation at the Short Film Fest that will see the twenty-minute “short” headline along with four other films.
The Axemen will also be hosting a raffle at the event to help raise money for a local charity, something they have done at almost every event that they are apart of over the past 6 years. (Charity to be announced ASAP)
The film is a comedy about two Australian brothers who travel to the USA with one of them chasing the love of his life (or so he thinks), and both end up getting themselves into a variety of issues and “situations” as the already poorly planned holiday runs completely off the rails.
Sharon Y. Cobb (Screenwriter) will be also be selling and signing her new book False Confessions of a True Hollywood Screenwriter ($12.99 + tax) from 6:00-6:30 and 8:00-8:30 p.m.
Marc Boese teaches video production at FSCJ and has produced and directed films that have been official selections to Cannes, Miami International Film Fest, and Taos short film festival. Marc lives off the grid in a 117 square foot house powered by solar panels. If you do a search on Jacksonville.com for Marc Boese. All kinds of wacky stuff comes up that is mostly true. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Educational Technology and is attending his residency in Atlanta.
