$1 bud Lights at all Axemen home games

Axemen remain undefeated

In near 100 degree heat the Axemen opened the scoring early via center Zack Matta after completing multiple sets and shutting down the Bulls attack with solid defense. This was the theme for the afternoon and by the end of the day the Axemen had run out a 26 to 6 win to keep their perfect record in tact. The win was a great way to go into the July 4 weekend that allows all teams a week off. The break will allow extra time to prepare for the New York Knights who arrive in JAX on July 10 for a replay of the 2009 National Championship and it will give the team and extra week to rehab some injuries. Fullback Josh Longenecker, who had replaced Kenny Britt after he suffered a cracked orbital in Boston, also sustained a shoulder injury in the first half of the game that sidelined him and will need to be evaluated today to see if he can be back in 2 weeks or not.

The remainder of the Axemen players will get two sessions in this week on Tuesday and Wednesday before enjoying the July 4 weekend off. They will return to team activities with an appearance at Outback Steakhouse on Monday July 5.
