2017 Training Camp a Success
The 12th season for the Jacksonville Axemen started off with another successful training camp. The players were tested over three days on their fitness and skills, including a team scrimmage to end a tough day of training on Saturday.
“I really enjoyed the camp, we had a few new faces and it was good to see them running around,” said Coach Sean Rutgerson. “We have got a great squad and our scrimmage on Saturday night showed me exactly what we need to work on. Fitness and defense plus a couple other things will be our main focus over the next few weeks. I am looking forward to seeing the team put it into practice in the Hall of Fame game on May 20th.”
Special Thanks to our sponsors, Culhane’s Irish Pub, Hyperswole Athletic Conditioning Facility, and Time Out Sports Grill for taking part in the 2017 training camp!
