Jacksonville – Are you going to be here?

The Firehouse Subs Jacksonville Axemen are looking to create history as they face off against the New Haven Warriors in the Semi-Final game of the USA Rugby League Championship. A win gives the Axemen their third consecutive National Championship Appearance and also a third consecutive season without a home lose in either regular season or playoff games.

The game is history repeating itself as the New Haven Warriors were the opponent in the 2010 Championship game that that the Axemen managed a come from behind win to bring the Trophy to Jacksonville. The Warriors have ideas of cutting short the Axemen season and going on to the Title game and get the throphy they had one hand on last year.

The Axemen are hoping for a record crowd at Hodges Stadium at UNF to help shut down the visitors and continue to let their home win record continue until the start of the 2012 season.

The Gates will open at 4pm for a 5pm Kickoff with parking at UNF in Lot 18 (Please take note of the signs directing you to the “Pay to Park” Machines)

– Walk Up Entry is only $5 (Kids 12 and under are FREE)
– $1 Bud Light Beer all game long and inexpensive concessions
– Axe Maiden Cheerleaders will entertain the crowd throughout the game
– Tom Bush Family of Dealers will be offering four I-Pods as giveaways in their FREE vehicle display sign up at the entry doors
– Prizes from Outback Steakhouse, Carrabbas Italian Grill, Axemen Merchandise, Photos with the Team and Axe Maidens, and plenty more will be of offer during the Half Time Raffle
– Ice Cream from Brusters Ice Cream will be available to keep the heat a bay

And there will be all the high speed, heavy hitting, full contact, explosive Rugby League Action than you can handle.

Following the game all fans are invited to join the players at TIME OUT SPORTS GRILL (Beach Blvd – just east of Hodges) to celebrate the event.
