Sports Marketing and Public Relations Internship

The Axemen internship program lets you experience the exciting world of sports marketing with Jacksonville’s only 2 time National Champions. Applicants should be Junior or Senior college students in a Sports Management or Public Relations degree program. Interns with the Jacksonville Axemen gain experience in sports marketing, advertising, public relations, game day operations and much more.

Sports Medicine Internship

The Jacksonville Axemen Medical Team is looking for a sports medicine intern for the 2013 Rugby League Season. The intern must be a student applying or currently in school for Athletic Training or Exercise Science. The intern will be able to observe and assist the team Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, and Team Physician in game day athlete preparation, prevention, and treatment of injuries. Rugby League is an intense full contact sport which does not use padding or helmets and pushes players’ endurance during two 40 minute halves. This is an opportunity to observe medical professionals preventing and treating injuries which may not be as commonly seen in traditional sports. The Jacksonville Axemen medical staff regularly has to treat facial lacerations, joint dislocations, fractures, and concussions. While observing how a medical team works on the sideline you will gain valuable education, observation hours, and references in the Sports Medicine field.

The intern must be available at UNF Hodges Stadium 2:30-7:00pm for all regular season home games: Sat. May 18, Sat. June 2, Sat June 15, Sat June 29, Sat July 13
